    CREW Member

    To qualify for membership in CREW Chicago, with full voting rights and the right to hold office, an individual must:

    • Have a minimum of five years experience in a qualified field* of Commercial Real Estate
    • Hold a senior, executive, ownership or decision-making position.
    • Attend at least two CREW Chicago meetings or events during the eighteen-month period preceding the date the application is submitted to the Board for consideration. Only 1 of the 2 required events may be a Coffee and/or Cocktails and Conversation Event.
    • Be sponsored by two (2) CREW Chicago members in-good-standing, who will provide a Sponsor Letter in support of the application. (at least one of whom shall be from outside the applicant’s firm.) 
    • Submit a complete Membership Application including resume, names of Sponsors and dates of CREW Chicago meeting attended.
    • Pay $25 application fee.  

    Applications will be reviewed for Approval by CREW Chicago Board of Directors. Our annual dues for CREW Chicago Membership are $395.

    A $25 non-refundable application fee should accompany this application. All memberships expire on December 31 of the membership year. CREW Chicago membership dues are non-transferrable and non-refundable. Membership dues for members approved after July 1st are discounted to midyear rates for the remainder of the year.  Membership dues for members approved after November 1st include November, December, and the entire following year.  

    Civic Member

    The requirements for Civic Membership are:

    • Employed full time with a minimum of five years of experience in one or more aspects of the real estate division or operations of a local or regional government, public agency, non-profit university or educational institution or other non-profit organization in a position considered to be a qualified field* of Commercial Real Estate.
    • Has attended at least two (2) CREW Chicago events during the eighteen-month period preceding the date the application is submitted. Only 1 of the 2 required events may be a Coffee and/or Cocktails and Conversation Event.
    • Sponsored by two (2) CREW Chicago members in-good-standing, who will provide a Sponsor Letter in support of the application (at least one of whom shall be from outside the applicant’s firm.)
    • Submits a complete Membership Application including resume, names of Sponsors and dates of CREW Chicago events attended.
    • Pay $25 application fee.
    • Civic Member has full rights and privileges as described in the CREW Chicago bylaws.
    • No more than 10% of the membership may be Civic Members. Applications will still be accepted if this category is temporarily full. Those applicants will be placed on a waiting list based on the date of application.

    Applications will be reviewed for Approval by CREW Chicago Board of Directors. Our annual dues for Civic Membership are $200.

     Associate Member

    CREW Chicago is poised to grow and sustain CREW Network’s mission - to promote the success of women in commercial real estate. It is in that vein that the Board has approved the addition of a category for women with two (2) to five (5) years in commercial real estate.

    Associate Members are a benefit to our organization as they:

    • Broaden the reach of the organization
    • Create a pipeline for full membership
    • Bring new talent and generational diversity
    • Create a conducive environment for meaningful mentorship

    The 2010 CREW Chicago Strategy Review meeting involved over twenty (20) women from our leadership team; we overwhelmingly supported the concept of an Associate Membership. The highlights of Associate Membership are as follows:

    Associate Members shall have the same rights and privileges as Full Members, however, the Associate Members shall NOT:

    • exceed 15% of the Chapter membership
    • have voting rights
    • be entitled to attend selective Member only events
    • serve as Committee Chairs
    • serve as Chapter delegates

    The Associate Members are:

    • required to pay a reduced member dues of $295.
    • required to be an active member on one or more committees

     

    A $25 non-refundable application fee should accompany this application. All memberships expire on December 31 of the membership year. CREW Chicago membership dues are non-transferrable and non-refundable. Membership dues for members approved after July 1st are discounted to midyear rates for the remainder of the year.  Membership dues for members approved after November 1st include November, December, and the entire following year. 

     

    Emeritus Member

    CREW Chicago is poised to grow and sustain CREW Network’s mission - to positively impact the commercial real estate industry by advancing the power and success of women. We recognize the importance and benefit to our members that comes from the wealth of experience gained by former leaders of our Chapter and we want to encourage them to remain a part of our organization even after they have retired from full-time careers in the industry. It is in that vein that the Board has approved the creation of a new category of membership - Emeritus.

    Membership as an Emeritus Member is by invitation from the President extended to those individuals who:

    • have been a Full Member for at least seven years.
    • have served in a leadership position in the Association, such as a Director, an Officer, a Committee Chair, or chair of a significant event or a Subcommittee.
    • are retired from or no longer actively employed in the commercial real estate industry.

    Emeritus Members shall have the same rights and privileges as Full Members. However, the Emeritus Members shall NOT:

    • exceed 10% of the Chapter membership
    • serve as Committee Chairs
    • have full voting rights
    • be entitled to attend those Member only events designated for Full Members only
    • serve as Chapter delegates

    The annual dues schedule for Emeritus members is $50 for CREW Chicago and $90 for CREW Network. 

    Affiliate Member

    The Board has approved the addition of a category of members employed full time with a minimum of five (5) years in a position where applicant’s primary professional responsibilities support commercial real estate and supply a service or physical product related to commercial real estate.

    Affiliate Members have the same rights and privileges as described in the CREW Chicago Bylaws and are required to pay member dues of $1395 annually.

    A $25 non-refundable application fee should accompany this application. All memberships expire on December 31 of the membership year. CREW Chicago membership dues are non-transferrable and non-refundable. Membership dues for members approved after July 1st are discounted to midyear rates for the remainder of the year.  Membership dues for members approved after November 1st include November, December, and the entire following year.
