CREW Chicago Networking Luncheon Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) was created in 2005 to integrate land-use and transportation planning for a seven county region in northeast Illinois. CMAP has estimated that this seven county region will grow by approximately 2.8 million people by 2040. Recently CMAP has completed a comprehensive regional planning campaign called GO TO 2040. The goal of this comprehensive study was to create strategies to address the infrastructure and development necessary to accommodate this projected growth. Come see what the GO TO 2040 plan includes and how you may be able to help provide this development. Presenter: Randy Blankenhorn is the Executive Director of CMAP, (http://www.cmap.illinois.gov), the agency responsible for comprehensive planning across the seven-county region. Under his leadership, CMAP takes an integrated approach to the region's challenges, with an emphasis on changing how development and infrastructure investment decisions are made. Cost: CREW Members - $50/Non-Members $75
