While many of CREW’s past programs have offered predictions about where commercial real estate is headed, our October, 18 luncheon provided insight into aspects of CRE’s future that are happening right now. Professor Susan Cannon framed the stage for the panelists to describe how data, drones, and driverless cars are already affecting the real estate world as we know it.  Allan Sutherland of In-telligent explained how a free app on your phone can use data and push technology to make buildings safer; Suzanne El-Moursi of Uplift Data Partners illustrated how drone technology is being used to replace paper reports with visual accounts of property and construction conditions; and Roman Kuropas of Innova EV showed how the emergence of driverless cars is directly impacting both the location and nature of new real estate development.
