On December 5, 2017, CREW Chicago held its final event of the year, the Annual Meeting and the final installment of its 2017 CREW Leadership & Professional Development Program.
CREW Chicago’s President, Mary Fuller kicked off the Annual Meeting portion of the evening reporting on the state of our chapter.  Highlights included: a current membership of 338 members strong, the sponsorship committee raising money that exceeded their goal, the successful 2017 Industry Leadership Award dinner, the annual golf outing and the Habitat for Humanity Women Build.

Mary also presented the Member of the Year award to Jeanne Peck and Sponsor of the Year to Assurance.

Culminating the Annual Meeting portion of the evening was the heartfelt presentation made by Mary (there was not a dry eye in the room!) who thanked the various Board members and committee chairpersons who have worked to make CREW Chicago a success this past year.  She ended the meeting by introducing the new 2018 CREW Chicago President Amy Blumenthal and presenting her with a Wonder Woman tiara and golden cuffs to begin her reign.

The Annual Meeting was followed by the final installment of the 2017 CREW Leadership & Professional Development Program, led by guest speaker and confident influencer, Trish Kelly, Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking, TCF Bank, Minnetonka, MN and a CREW Chicago Member.  Trish shared her thoughts and experiences on developing strategic confidence.  Managers tend to control while leaders entice and help others to be their best and succeed. Trish’s presentation was followed by group discussions about ways people lead and influence others.  Trish summed up the evening by encouraging leaders to, above all, be a friend.
