CREW Careers Spring Program

The CREW Careers Spring program –took place over 4 weeks in March 2022.
CREW Careers hosted Session 1 and 2 of the annual program with Off the Street Club during the first
two weeks of March! These sessions were focused on Adaptive Re‐use.

Session 1 hosted two speakers. JGMA presented their Cristo Rey project, and Graef presented their
Night Ministry project. Attendees from Off the Street Club enthusiastically asked questions and
interacted with the speakers.

Session 2 focused on discussing the roles around creating an Adaptive Re‐use project. OTSC members
broke in five groups, learned about their group’s role on a project, and presented that assigned role
back to the group to close out Session 2. The roles included Developers, Designers, Financial Partners,
General Contractors, and Operators.

CREW Careers hosted Session 3 and 4 of the annual program with Off the Street Club during the last two
weeks of March! These sessions were focused on Budgeting and Financial Literacy.

Session 3 educated the group about basic budgeting terms and a budget template. OTSC members
broke into small groups to work through a budgeting exercise with on‐site volunteers. CREW
representatives ended the session with a Q&A and financial tips they gathered through the years.

Session 4 hosted two speakers. Two Financial Fortitude speakers, Angela Bingham and Aisha
McBurrows, shared important processes and tactics for personal finances, including budgeting
expenses, understanding W‐2 forms, and paying taxes. Andreal Neal, a Relationship Manager at PNC,
presented on the banking industry and the potential employment opportunities.

CREW Careers is grateful to have had another successful program with Off the Street Club and looks
forward to continuing spending time with the group throughout the year!
